Durable, Colorful and Unique. The Rope & Leather Martingale Collar has a larger loop that fits comfortably around your dog's neck, and another smaller chain loop that connects to their leash. If your pup pulls on their leash, the collar will tighten within limited range, releasing when they stop.
Originally intended for greyhounds and other dogs with necks wider than their head, our martingale collar offers several benefits for all kinds of dogs. It keeps your dog from slipping out of their collar, and limits pulling.
*DO NOT leave martingale collar on your dog while unattended.
** Leather is a natural product. Both texture and color will vary slightly from hide to hide, making each piece unique.

- Loosen your martingale collar to it's largest size.
- Slip the collar over your dog's head.
- Tighten your pup's collar to fit snuggly, with enough room for two fingers to fit between the collar and your pup.
- Connect your leash to the middle “O” ring of your martingale collar. Once connected, the two metal “D” rings that form the loop, should be an 1” or more apart from one another. If the “D” rings are able to touch, your collar is too loose and should be adjusted.
Any Coast product exposed to saltwater or sand should be rinsed with fresh water immediately after use, and allow to air dry. This will help prolong the life of your product, and help with premature aging.
To clean stainless steel hardware, it is recommended to use a metal polish. To remove excess dirt from any Coast product made of marine rope, mix warm water and a mild detergent such as Dawn into a bucket. DO NOT use bleach or any harsh chemical product. Soak a sponge or clean cloth into the solution and spot clean areas that need attention. Allow the solution to sit for up to 10 minutes, rinse and repeat if needed. Air dry.
All of Coast’s leather products will get better with age, if properly cared for. To best ensure their longevity, it is recommended that you USE a saddle soap and conditioner when removing dirt. To clean, create a lather by using saddle soap and warm water, and apply with sponge or clean cloth. Immediately rinsing with water, removing dirt and excess soap. While leather is drying, it is important to apply a conditioner to the leather, to bring its moisture back and prevent the leather from cracking. To condition, use a clean cloth and apply leather conditioner to leather. Allow product to air dry.
DO NOT put any Coast product in dryer.
